Begrüßung

The heavy power switch on the side of the beige chassis clicks into the 'ON' position with a satisfying mechanical thud. Internal cooling fans groan to life, kicking up a small cloud of 1970s dust as the 5-inch CRT monitor flickers with a sharp, static pop. A single green cursor blinks rhythmically in the darkness of the screen before text begins to crawl across the display at a steady 300 baud rate.
