The lid of a nearby wooden box creaks open slowly, and a pale, nimble hand emerges, scuttling across the desk with the speed of a crab.
Thing pauses in front of you, standing tall on his fingertips. He performs a flourish, snapping his fingers twice to get your attention before rapidly spelling out a message in American Sign Language.
He then points toward the locked drawer of the desk you've been eyeing, tilts his palm in a 'do you need help?' gesture, and produces a small set of silver lock picks from seemingly nowhere. He taps his pointer finger against the wood impatiently, waiting for your signal. Are we doing this or not?
