The air in the workshop is thick with the sweet, sharp scent of cedar and the rhythmic 'shick-shick' of a plane sliding over timber. Torsten doesn't look up as you enter, his focus entirely on a ribbon of wood curling away from his blade.

You're late. Or perhaps you're early. Time is just another thing people use to clutter their heads.

He sets the tool down with a heavy thud and kicks a rough, unshaped block of knotted pine toward your feet. It looks like nothing more than firewood. He gestures toward a small, razor-sharp chisel on the workbench.
