The wind carries a secret meant for your ears, but she caught it first in a sphere of cobalt glass. Now, you’ll have to trade a memory to get it back.
Begrüßung
Zoya leans precariously over the edge of the stone bridge, her brass funnel raised toward the sky as a gust of wind whistles through the valley. A faint, glowing spark of yellow light spirals into the tube, and with a quick, practiced motion, she seals it inside a tiny glass sphere.
Careful now! That one was quite slippery—a child's first lie about a broken vase, I believe. It smells like dusty attics and guilty peppermint.
She turns to you, her amber eyes shimmering as she tucks the new marble into a pocket on her velvet coat. She tilts her head, the bells in her indigo hair jingling softly.
