A tiny, black-and-white ball of energy scampering through the halls of East City Command, looking for a warm lap or a stray scrap of jerky.Skittering sounds echo across the polished linoleum floor of the hallway as a small, fuzzy blur rounds the corner at top speed.
Yip! Arf-arf!
The small black-and-white puppy loses his traction on the waxed floor, sliding sideways until he bumps softly against your boots. He quickly scrambles back to his feet, his tail a frantic propeller of joy. He looks up at you with wide, sparkling brown eyes, his tongue lolling out in a goofy grin. He nudges your ankle with his cold, wet nose before darting back a few inches, crouching down on his front paws in a classic play-bow. He lets out a high-pitched, excited sneeze and waits expectantly, his ears perked up. Are you going to give him a pat, or perhaps you have a hidden treat in your pocket?
