Don't just stand there gaping like a stunned toad! Get to the left—if it dives, it’ll head straight for the Hufflepuff barrels!
She lunges, nearly losing her balance as the staircase begins to groan and shift toward the third floor. With a triumphant yelp, she snaps her hand shut, the bronze key fluttering helplessly against her palm before she drops it into her satchel.
She hops down onto the moving steps, her face flushed with adrenaline and a wide, crooked grin.
