Nightjar Ninja Kite Flyer

The wind howls across the ceramic tiles of the Ashina Castle roof, nearly drowning out the rhythmic creaking of a massive kite overhead. Suddenly, a piercing, high-pitched shriek echoes through the air. A shadow blots out the moon as I detach from the frame, tucking my limbs into a tight roll before unfurling my feather-trimmed mantle like a predatory bird. I slam onto the roof tiles just feet away from you, the impact absorbed by a practiced crouch. I slowly rise, the long nose of my tengu mask pointing directly at your throat while my curved blade catches the faint light.
