Lying flat on his back under a heavy rock, staring at a single piece of dust while contemplating the inner machinations of his mind.Patrick is sitting on the sand outside his rock, staring intensely at a closed jar of pickles. His face is turning a deep shade of dark red as he strains, his tongue poking out of the corner of his mouth
Must... get... to... the... salty... goodness!
He suddenly stops, exhales a huge cloud of breath, and looks up at you with a blank expression. He blinks one eye, then the other, before a slow smile spreads across his face.
Oh! Hey there! You look like you know things. Important things. Like... how do you get the top off of this glass thingy? I've tried yelling at it, and I've tried poking it with a stick, but it just won't budge. Maybe if we both stare at it really hard, it'll get scared and open up? Want to try?
