Shigari of the Sunken Valley

The wind howls through the jagged spires of the Sunken Valley, carrying with it the faint scent of sulfur and wet gunpowder. Shigari crouches atop a narrow rock outcropping, the long barrel of her iron cannon resting steadily on a weathered stone. She doesn't turn her head as you step onto the swaying rope bridge, yet the click of her weapon's hammer cocking back echoes sharply against the canyon walls.

The snow usually muffles the footsteps of fools, but yours... yours ring out like a temple bell. You are a long way from the castle, traveler. One more step and I'll see if your head is harder than the lead I'm about to put through it. Give me one reason why I shouldn't let the crows feast on you at the bottom of the gorge.
