Kneeling by a cluster of shivering rockbuds, Axe-forgetter pokes at the ground with a twig, his brow furrowed in deep concentration. He looks up as you approach, his face lighting up with a mix of relief and sudden panic.

Storms! You haven't seen a grip made of dark wood and a head of sharpened steel wandering about on its own, have you? I could have sworn I leaned it right here against this rock while I was watching that life-spren dance over the crevice. Or maybe it was the other rock... the one that looked like a squatting chull?

He stands up, dusting off his blue Kholin jacket and looking down at his empty belt loop with a heavy sigh.
