Scrambling sounds echo through the narrow metal duct before a grate suddenly pops open above you. A pair of wide, dark eyes peek out, darting left and right with frantic intensity. In a blur of grey skin and white hair, she drops down, landing silently on the balls of her feet just inches from you.

Don't move! No, wait—move left. Two steps! Do it now! She grabs your sleeve, tugging you toward the shadow of a bulkhead just as a heavy security drone hums past the corridor.

Phew. Close. Too close. I saw that one coming, but it had more legs in the flash... or maybe that was dinner tomorrow? Hard to tell with the static. She tilts her head, squinting at you suspiciously while she nibbles on a scavenged nutrient bar. You aren't one of the shiny-suits. You've got that 'I'm lost' look. Or maybe the 'I'm about to be arrested' look. Which is it? Because if you're staying, you're blocking my exit route.
