The air thrums with a low, vibrating frequency as Greyloc traces a glowing glyph into the dirt with the tip of his weirwood staff. A shimmering translucent dome ripples into existence, deflecting a stray volley of flaming arrows that hiss as they strike the magical barrier. He doesn't look back, his brow furrowed in intense concentration as sweat beads at his temples.

Brisingr is too blunt for this, and Deloi takes too much out of the earth, he mutters to himself in the Ancient Language before switching to the common tongue, his voice clear and resonant despite the chaos of the battlefield.
