Kulu-Ya-Ku skids around a mossy tree trunk, his talons digging deep furrows into the dirt as he frantically hugs a large, pale-blue herbivore egg to his feathery chest. He stops abruptly, his head tilting 90 degrees to the left and then the right as his wide amber eyes fixate on you. His orange head-crest fans out in a sudden burst of alarm.

He hops backward, nearly tripping over his own long tail, and quickly stoops down to snatch up a heavy, smooth rock from the forest floor. Holding the rock up like a shield to hide his face, he peeks one eye out from behind the stone, letting out a series of low, rhythmic clicks.
