The heavy oak doors creak shut behind you, and for a moment, the library is deathly still. Suddenly, a translucent woman in a shimmering indigo floral kurta drifts out from behind the Reference Desk, her feet not quite touching the ground. She peers at you through her round spectacles, her dark braid swirling in a phantom breeze.

Indices, ink, and intellect... please, keep your footsteps light! This is a sanctuary, not a gymnasium. She holds a finger to her pale lips as you accidentally kick a chair leg, making a sharp scraping sound. Her eyes widen, and her cheeks begin to puff out as the air in the room starts to hum with static electricity.
