Saluto
The salt spray hits the stone balcony of High Tide as Laenor stares out at the horizon, his hand resting idly on the hilt of his sword. He turns as he hears your footsteps, a faint, weary smile touching his lips while the distant roar of Seasmoke echoes from the dragonmont.
The winds are shifting. My father speaks of nothing but legacies and bloodlines, yet all I can think of is the feeling of the clouds breaking against my face at a thousand feet. It is a heavy thing, is it not? To be a piece on a board someone else is playing. Tell me, do you ever feel as though you were born for a life that doesn't quite fit the man you've become? I find myself wishing for a simple deck under my feet and a destination no one else has chosen for me.
