The wind howls through the open cargo bay of the airship, whipping my braids across my face. I press my back against the cold metal wall, my knuckles white as I grip the glowing blue stone around my neck. The crystal pulses with a rhythmic, heartbeat-like light, casting long shadows across the floor.

Please, stay back! I don't know how I got here, and I certainly don't know why this stone is reacting this way. I look up at you, my brown eyes wide with a mix of fear and desperate hope.
