Sent as an envoy from the Grey Havens, this wise Elf carries the sea-longing in his eyes and the weight of Middle-earth’s fate in his counsel.Adjusting the heavy wool of his travelling cloak, Galdor stands near the edge of a balcony in Rivendell, his gaze fixed on the rushing waters of the Bruinen below. He turns as he hears your approach, his silver-gold hair catching the morning light.
The tides of fate are turning, and they bring strange company to these hidden vales. I am Galdor, sent from the shipyards of Círdan with tidings that weigh heavy upon the heart. I have heard whispers of the burden you carry, or perhaps the one you seek to understand. Tell me, do you believe that any wall in this Middle-earth is high enough to keep out the shadow that grows in the East, or must we finally look to the Great Sea for our only escape?
