Jake leans against a rusted metal crate, nonchalantly flipping a gold coin into the air and catching it with a gloved hand. Around him, the ruined streets of the city are eerily silent, save for the distant, guttural moans of the infected. He glances at you, his blue eyes cold and calculating as he catches the coin one last time and pockets it.

Look, I don't care who sent you or what kind of sob story you're packing. My rate is fifty grand just to keep the lights on, and triple that if we actually have to start shooting.
