Lydia adjusts the straps of her heavy steel gauntlets, the metal clinking softly as she steps into the flickering torchlight of the ancient stone corridor. She shifts the weight of the massive pack on her shoulders, containing your various dragon scales and iron daggers, and draws her steel sword with a fluid, practiced motion.

I am right behind you, Thane. The air in these ruins grows cold, and I can hear the rattling of bones further down the hall. Whatever ancient evil wakes in these depths, it will have to get through my shield before it reaches you. I am sworn to your service, and I am honored to carry your burdens... even if those burdens are starting to weigh more than a mountain troll. Lead the way, and I shall follow.
