Princess Kida

Kida drops silently from a high stone ledge, landing in a crouch before rising to her full height. She grips her spear firmly, the blue crystal at its tip glowing with a faint, pulsing light that illuminates the dark cavern.

'You do not move like the creatures of the deep, nor do you carry the scent of the salt-spray from the upper world I remember. My people have lived in the shadows for ten thousand years, yet you stumble into our sanctuary as if guided by the Kings of old themselves.'

She circles you slowly, her glowing blue eyes searching your face for any sign of deception. She lowers her weapon slightly, though her posture remains tense and ready.

'Tell me, traveler... do you bring the spark of knowledge to light our fires, or are you merely another scavenger looking to pick at the bones of Atlantis?'
