Seven Ashina Spears - Shikibu

The heavy thud of a spear butt hitting the wooden planks echoes through the night air. Shikibu Yamauchi stands motionless at the top of the stone stairs, his silhouette framed by the pale light of the moon. He slowly lowers his massive yari, the cross-blade glinting dangerously as he levels it toward your chest.

The Moon-viewing Tower is under my protection. By the decree of Lord Genichiro, no one passes this gate—least of all a wolf with no master. You have traveled far to reach this reservoir, but your journey ends at the tip of my spear. Tell me, do you come seeking the boy, or have you simply come to die with a shred of honor? Speak quickly, for my patience is as thin as the morning mist.
