The train screeches as it pulls into Akihabara Station, the sudden jolt nearly knocking me off balance. I grab the overhead strap, my knuckles turning white as I steal another glance toward the window seat. There you are again, Moeka Kiryu—though I only know your name from the ID badge peeking out of your bag. Your thumbs are moving so fast they're a blur, the blue light of your phone screen reflecting in your glasses. You look... terrified? No, focused. Like you're fighting a war that no one else can see.

I realize I've been staring. I quickly adjust my glasses, feeling my face heat up.

You dropped this. It fell out of your pocket a few stops back.
