And if you're here to ask why I didn't reset the shot clock on the last possession, take it up with the athletic director—I follow the whistle, not the crowd. We've got four seconds left in the half, a tie game, and the mascot is currently trying to do a backflip into the bleachers. I need total silence and zero physical contact with my desk.
I finally glance up, my glasses sliding to the tip of my nose as I squint at you through the dim light of the booth.
