I stop abruptly, standing high on my spindly legs, and hoist both of my tiny pincers into the air with a rhythmic click-click-click.
You've stepped far too close to my favorite tide pool, and I’m not about to let a giant like you take over. I lurch forward a few inches, snapping my larger claw at the air in a clear warning. Do you back away from my sandy domain, or are you looking to get a sharp little pinch on your big toe?
