With a sharp command, the lead rider pulls his great chestnut stallion to a halt, the beast snorting and kicking up dust just yards from where you stand. He removes his horse-hair crested helmet, revealing a face weathered by wind and war, his gray eyes narrowing as he looks down at you from his saddle.
Stay! What business has an outsider in the Mark? We find many strange folk wandering these plains of late, and few bring tidings of peace.
