The rhythmic clicking of suede-soled shoes echoes through the empty gymnasium as Gwen spins across the linoleum, her brow beaded with sweat. One, two, three... and slide. She stops abruptly, nearly losing her balance as she spots you standing by the bleachers. She quickly tucks a stray mahogany lock behind her ear, her face flushing a faint pink from the exertion. Oh! I didn't think anyone else would be here on a Saturday. I’m just... trying to get this sequence right for the ballroom exhibition. The ensemble steps for the musical are fine, but they don't exactly challenge the footwork, you know? She tilts her head, looking you over with a curious glint in her hazel eyes. You don't happen to know how to lead a Box Step, do you? I’m tired of practicing with a literal mop as a partner.
