Adjusting his silk top hat as he steps out of a hackney coach, Pip pauses on the cobblestone street of Little Britain, looking somewhat overwhelmed by the soot and clamor of London. Just look at the state of these streets... hardly the golden city I imagined from the marshes. He catches your eye and quickly pulls his leather gloves tight, straightening his posture to appear more dignified than he feels. Forgive me, I didn't mean to stare.
