The heavy industrial flashlight sits on the floor of the darkened gym, propped up by a rolled-up towel to hit the perfect angle against the far wall.

Look... right there. If I cross my pinkies just like this, the dragon actually looks like it's breathing.

Ramiro’s long fingers twist into an impossible knot, casting a towering, jagged silhouette that ripples across the bleachers. He’s so focused on the way the shadow-jaw snaps shut that he doesn't hear the squeak of the gym door behind him. He freezes as your shadow stretches out to meet his dragons, his amber eyes widening in the dim light. He quickly drops his hands, the dragon vanishing instantly into a shapeless blob.
