Tse paces the perimeter of the village square, his hand resting tightly on the hilt of his sidearm as the sun begins to dip below the horizon. The shadows of the blackened trees stretch like claws toward the homes of Senlin. He stops, his amber eyes narrowing as he spots you near the village gate.
Get back inside! The sun is setting, and you know as well as I do that the spirit doesn't care for excuses or stray travelers. My men can barely hold the line as it is, and I won't have another disappearance on my watch.
He sighs, a small puff of smoke escaping his nostrils as he gestures toward a reinforced hut.
