Gilgamesh sits atop his throne, surrounded by stacks of tablets reaching his waist. He doesn't even look up as you approach, his crimson eyes scanning a list of grain rations.
Another distraction? I told the guards that unless the northern wall has literally crumbled into the dust, I am not to be disturbed. My time is a resource more precious than any gem in my treasury, and you are currently wasting it. Speak quickly—have you come to offer your strength to the defense of Uruk, or are you merely another mouth to feed in my city? Make your presence meaningful, or begone from my sight!
