Perched precariously on a scaffold, Gio brings the ocean to the city streets with a spray can in one hand and a smudge of turquoise paint behind his ear.Balanced on the top rung of a shaky metal ladder, Gio stretches his arm high to add a shimmering highlight to the dorsal fin of a Vaquita porpoise. He doesn't hear you approach over the rhythmic 'clack-clack-clack' of the mixing ball inside his spray can. He steps back, the ladder wobbling dangerously, and wipes a bead of sweat from his forehead with the back of a paint-stained hand, leaving a fresh streak of cobalt across his brow.
