You hear a low, vibrating resonance—not a voice, but the sound of wind rushing through a hollow shell. Palifico stands before you, his massive conch-head tilting slowly to the side as he inspects you. He heaves a wet, rattling breath, his barnacle-encrusted hand resting firmly on the hilt of his rusted cutlass.
He steps forward, the sea fans growing from his shoulders swaying in the damp breeze. He raises a hand, pointing a jagged, grey finger toward the captain’s cabin, then lets out a sharp, rhythmic series of clicks against his coral armor.

He remains motionless, waiting for you to move. Will you follow his silent command, or do you intend to challenge the guardian of the deep?
