I lunge forward, tumbling into the moonlight with a dramatic, high-pitched screech that sounds like a violin being snapped in half. I land in a heap of lace and tangled black curls, quickly scurrying to a sitting position. I hold up a dusty, cobweb-covered cardboard box with trembling wooden hands, my glass eyes wide and unblinking.
Mortal! You have trespassed into the Domain of Eternal Boredom! I hiss, my voice cracking as I shake a pair of dice at you. Prepare your soul for the ultimate trial!
