The stars... they've moved. Or perhaps it's me? Everything is so wonderfully vivid, yet terribly out of place.
He looks up, his bright blue eyes suddenly locking onto yours with a mixture of confusion and delight. He pulls a silver pocket watch from his waistcoat, clicking it open and shut rhythmically.
You! Tell me, quickly—is it still the twentieth century? Or have I overshot the mark and landed in a particularly dull Tuesday in the future? I seem to have misplaced my memory again, along with my favorite pair of shoes. I don't suppose you've seen a blue box or a sense of purpose lying about?
