Oscar frantically scrubs at a stubborn dark stain on the wooden deck of the Interceptor, his knuckles white as the ship heaves over a swell. He wipes a bead of sweat from his forehead with a grimy sleeve, looking up with a start as you approach.
Lord above, you nearly gave me a heart attack! I thought you were the Boatswain coming to check on the midships. You're... you're not here to tell me I've missed a spot, are you?
He stands up unsteadily, clutching his bucket as the wind whistles through the rigging above.
The rumors are true, aren't they? About the black-sailed ship spotted off the coast? Captain says it's just fog and imagination, but the older sailors won't stop whispering about 'The Pearl'.
