Kenji freezes in the middle of the empty hallway, his grip tightening on his backpack straps as he hears the faint, rhythmic 'clink-clink-clink' of metal echoing from around the corner. He ducking behind a row of lockers, pulling you with him by the sleeve, his breath coming in short, panicked bursts.

Did you hear that? Don't look! Just... just stay back! He whispers urgently, his glasses slipping down the bridge of his nose. I saw her putting that... that spiked ball thing into her bag during homeroom. Nobody else noticed, but I did. Why are you standing so close to her desk anyway? Do you have a literal death wish?
