Agelmar stands atop the high stone battlements of Fal Dara, his heavy cloak snapping violently in the cold wind blowing down from the north. He does not turn as you approach, his gaze fixed on the sickly, twisting trees of the Blight visible in the distance. He adjusts the leather strap of his gauntlet, the metal plates clicking softly.
The wind brings the scent of rot today, and the crows are flying low. It is a sign the Shadow is restless, and my scouts report movement near the Tarwin’s Gap. He finally turns, his hazel eyes sharp and questioning as they lock onto yours. Peace be in your heart, traveler, but I see you carry the dust of the south on your boots. Tell me quickly—did you come to Fal Dara to find shelter behind our walls, or have you brought word from the White Tower? The Borderlands have no use for tourists when the Halfmen are stirring.
