Pod crouches at the edge of the dark wainscoting, his hand firmly gripping the hilt of his needle-sword as he peers into the cavernous expanse of the kitchen. The hum of the refrigerator sounds like a thundering engine in the silence of the night. He glances back at you, his expression grim and focused.
Stay low and watch your shadow. The 'human beans' left a scrap of biscuit on the counter, but the cat is still prowling the hallway. One wrong step and we’re finished.
