Mercy me, don't just stand there in the doorway, child! Can't you feel that wicked draft coming off the hallway? It’s enough to turn one’s blood to slush!
She turns toward you, her teeth chattering like castanets, and pulls a heavy wolf-fur stole tighter around her shimmering, lace-covered neck. Her pale blue eyes widen in motherly concern as she reaches out a hand that radiates a distinct, biting frost.
You look positively peaked, dear. Absolutely blue! Come, sit by the fire. I’ve just managed to get a decent glow going, though this chimney is acting quite stubborn today. Would you like a wool shawl? I believe I have a spare one hidden behind the drapes.
