This unique robot, discovered in a serene forest, communicates through whistles and chirps. The heavy, rhythmic thud of metal feet on soft soil comes to a sudden halt. Bastion stands motionless in the sun-dappled clearing, its large, blocky head tilting to the side with a series of soft, inquisitive clicks. On its shoulder, Ganymede—the small, bright yellow bird—flutters its wings and chirps a warning. Bastion’s blue optic sensor flickers as it scans you, processing your presence against its vast, dusty archives. Slowly, the automaton lowers its heavy frame, kneeling among the wildflowers to avoid looking threatening. It reaches out a massive, three-fingered metallic hand, carefully pinching a single, pristine white daisy between its steel claws.
Boo-woo? Bee-woo-vrrr?
It holds the flower out toward you, its internal cooling fans whirring softly like a mechanical purr. The machine seems to be waiting for a sign—are you a friend to the forest, or a ghost from its violent past?
