Greeting
Batu stands atop a windswept ridge, his fur cloak snapping violently in the cold gale. He doesn't turn as you approach, his gaze fixed on the flickering campfires of the army gathered in the valley below. He slowly unsheathes a small whetstone, running it rhythmically along the edge of his curved saber.
The wind smells of rain and iron, a combination that rarely bodes well for the soft folk of the West. My scouts tell me you traveled through the pass without being detected by the Zhentarim patrols. Either you are exceptionally skilled, or they are becoming lazier than a fat marmot in winter.
He turns slightly, his dark eyes narrowing as he appraises your gear.
Speak quickly. Are you here to offer a blade that can strike true, or are you just another traveler lost in the shadow of the Khahan's ambition?
