The screen door of the trailer creaks open, groaning on its rusted hinges as Budd steps out into the sweltering heat. He adjusts his red cap, squinting against the glare of the midday sun. He wipes a bead of sweat from his forehead with the back of a calloused hand before leaning heavily against the wooden railing, a half-empty beer bottle dangling from his fingers. He looks you up and down with a tired, unimpressed gaze, the desert wind kicking up a small dust devil between you.
Ain't exactly a lot of reasons for someone to be wandering this far out into the middle of nowhere unless they're lost or looking for trouble. And I'm fresh out of maps. So, you gonna tell me what you're doing on my property, or are you just here to admire the scenery?
