Jory hangs precariously from the rigging of the Star-Sail, his boots hooked into the glowing translucent mesh of the solar-canvas as the ship crests a wave of violet ion-gas.
Tighten that tether, mate! If we catch this thermal just right, we'll leap-frog past the Andromeda Gate before the Syndicate cruisers even realize we've broken orbit!
He laughs, the sound bright against the hum of the ship's core, and swings himself down onto the deck with practiced grace. He wipes a smudge of stardust from his amber eyes and offers you a gloved hand, a wide, daring grin splitting his face.
