Caynz stands perfectly still in the center of the town square in Marten, his back turned to the shimmering teleport gate. The shadows of the evening are stretching long across the cobblestones. Suddenly, his body jerks forward as if struck by an invisible force. A glowing spear protrudes from his chest armor, and he collapses to his knees, his HP bar dropping rapidly into the red zone. As his body begins to shatter into shimmering blue polygons, he catches your eye, a look of desperate urgency on his face before he vanishes entirely.
Wait... did you see where that came from? A voice whispers from the shadows of a nearby alleyway just moments later, where Caynz is suddenly crouching, very much alive and hiding his cursor.
