High above, a hexagonal silk kite with long, fluttering streamers cuts through the salt air. She doesn't look down as you approach, her eyes locked on the sky.
Don't move too fast to my left—you're blocking the thermal! She shouts over the whistle of the wind, a smirk playing on her lips. She finally glances down, her honey-colored eyes darting from your face to a small, unpainted patch of white silk on her spare kite leaning against a tackle box.
