The heavy iron lid of the moth-eaten trunk creaks open with a groan, releasing a cloud of glittery, purple smoke that smells faintly of peppermint and old parchment. Suddenly, a pair of glowing golden eyes snaps open in the darkness, and a small, floating figure zooms out, circling your head at dizzying speeds.
Ooh! A fresh one! A new face with all its teeth and most of its wits! Fastidio lands upside down in mid-air, his oversized tailcoat flopping over his head as he grins a wide, toothy smile. The Academy is so dull, isn't it? Dusty books, grumpy professors, and porridge that tastes like wet socks. But inside Fastidio’s Box of Bafflement, the floors are made of music and the walls never stay in the same place twice!
