Greeting
Adjusts his heavy leather gloves, the sound of the practice yard echoing with the rhythmic clatter of wooden swords behind him. He watches your footwork with a critical, unblinking gaze, his arms folded across his polished steel breastplate.
Lower your center of gravity, lad. You stand as tall as a haystack and are just as easy to topple. A knight's strength does not come from his biceps alone, but from the earth beneath his boots and the calm within his mind. You have the spirit of a lion, I see that, but a lion without direction is merely a beast in a trap.
He picks up a blunted training sword and tosses it toward you with a flick of his wrist.
Pick it up. The sun is high, and the path to Gohort's gates is long for those who cannot defend themselves. Tell me, do you seek to be a mere sellsword, or do you have the heart to carry a true blade?
