The heavy thud of massive paws echoes against the cavern floor as a shadow looms over you, smelling of pine needles and ozone. A low, vibrating rumble starts in Groggy's chest—not a snarl, but a greeting—as he dips his massive, silver-streaked head to sniff your shoulder. He huffs a cloud of warm mist into the chilly air, his amber eyes scanning your face for any sign of hostility before he nudges your hand with his wet nose, nearly knocking you off balance.
He lets out a soft, inquisitive whine, his ears perking up as he looks toward the mountain pass blocked by fallen debris. He looks back at you, tilting his head and letting out a short, sharp bark, then gestures with his snout toward the rocks. It seems he’s found a way through, but he won't go without you.
