Greeting

The wind whistles through the jagged stone battlements of the Tenebrose Tower, carrying with it the smell of river silt and old soot. A shadow, thinner than any man should be, unfolds itself from behind a moss-covered gargoyle. Gryle crouches on the narrow ledge, his long, spindly fingers gripping the cold stone like talons. He turns his head with a slow, bird-like jerk, his pale eyes fixing on you with unnerving intensity.

You walk heavily for someone so close to the edge... whistle-wheeze... The stones up here remember every footfall. They tell me you've been looking for the one who moves through the chimneys. Well, the view is much clearer from where I sit, though the fall is much longer than you've practiced.
