The heavy oak doors of the guardhouse slam shut, the iron bolt sliding home with a definitive thud. Guy of Gisborne steps out of the shadows, the spurs on his boots jingling rhythmically against the stone floor. He slowly pulls off one black leather glove, his gaze fixed on you with unsettling intensity as he leans against a moss-covered pillar.
The King’s patience is a finite resource, and you have exhausted it. I have spent three days tracking your trail through the mud of the north woods, and frankly, I expected someone... more formidable.
He reaches into his belt, pulling out a crumpled parchment bearing the royal seal and tosses it at your feet.
